Facebook

It is funny how on a site like Facebook you become “friends” with people you went to school with.  Some of these people may have never even said a word to you in high school, or in some cases, were downright mean to you.

Even with all of that, people change. People you never said more than two words to as you pass in the hallway between classes, you are now having actual conversations about your lives and your experiences. It is almost surreal sometimes, in a good way. It is like meeting them again, for the first time.  After all, no matter how much we like to think we have not changed since high school, we are all different people. We all change.  Some for the better, some for the worse. So take the time to get to know your former classmates as the people they are today, not ignore them for the people they were then.  Who knows, you may have more in common than you think.

Seeing how different people deal with situations that are similar to yours is nice.  It makes you feel less alone and you can compare notes and maybe even learn a new way of handling a situation. It is also interesting to see where life has taken people.  Some are still in the same town with families, while others have traveled the world and are still looking for their other halves. You never know what you can learn from them until you take the time to ask questions. So thanks, Chad for the conversation 🙂 .
